Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt and pepper

For the chips

  • 4 potatoes, see note
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic granules
  • ½ teaspoon sweet smoked paprika

Instructions

Prep the chicken

  • Put the chicken in a dish and add the oil and seasoning. Use your hands to ensure the chicken is completely coated
4 chicken breasts, 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt and pepper
  • Arrange the chicken in a single layer on the air fryer grid in one drawer

Prep the chips

  • Scrub the potatoes; there's no need to peel them. Cut into thin, but not skinny chips. I use a chip cutter for speed and consistency
    4 potatoes,
  • Combine the oil and seasonings in a large dish. Add the potatoes and mix to ensure they're coated and put them in the second air fryer drawer
2 tablespoons oil, ½ teaspoon garlic granules, ½ teaspoon sweet smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon salt

Cooking chicken and chips

  • Set the chips to cook at 190°C for 24 minutes.
Set the chicken to cook at 180°C for 20 minutes.
Set the SYNC button if your air fryer has one, to ensure your Chicken and Chips are ready together
  • Turn the chicken after 10 minutes and shake the chips.
Check the chicken is cooked by piercing with a knife in the thickest part to see the juices run clear, or use a meat thermometer to check it's reached 74°C
  • Serve with salad, or some microwaved broccoli, and sauces
